Grenier's Four Goals Lift Gators Past Nighthawks

The Newbury College women's soccer team was shut out by the Gators of Pine Manor College, 5-0 this afternoon in Chestnut Hill, MA.  Alicia Grenier (Swansea, MA/Joseph Case) led the way for the Gators with an impressive 4 goals and 1 assist.    

Grenier sparked the Gator's offense early scoring her first goal just 3 minutes into the game on an assistant from Bethany Kapell (Jamesville, NY/Manlius Pebble Hill).  Grenier would go on to score two more goals and assist another by Jackie Sprague (Oxford, MA/Oxford) before the half.  Grenier sealed her amazing afternoon with an unassisted fancy footwork goal just inside the 18, in the 69^th minute.   

Despite the loss, the Nighthawk's Anastasia Tridenti (Gloucester, RI/Ponaganset) managed to pick up 9 saves on the afternoon, while Jessica Graus (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia), Ashley Green-Allen (Brockton, MA/Brockton) and Rachel Wyszynski (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) kept the pressure on the Gators defense all second half.
