Falcons Cruise to Victory 

The Newbury College women's soccer team was shut out by the Falcons of Fitchburg State College by a score of 12-0 in Chestnut Hill, MA this afternoon.   The Falcons led 5-0 at the half and went on to score seven more goals in the second to cruise to their 5^th win of the season, improving to 5-2, while the Nighthawks fell to 0-4.     

Ashley Dutcher (Littleton, MA/Littleton), Lauren Wundt (Southwick, MA/Southwick-Tolland) and Lindsay Taylor (Blythewood, SC/Blythewood) each had a hat trick for the Falcons while Courtney Kimball (Plymouth, MA/Plymouth) added two goals of her own and picked up two assists in the shut out.  Rounding out the scoring for the Falcons was Meagan Belanger (Belchertown, MA/Belchertown) who recorded one goal and one assist on the day. 

The Nighthawks host their first NECC game of the season on Saturday September 20, 2008 when they will take on Wheelock College at 3:30pm.
