Falcons Prove to Be too Much for the Nighthawks 

The Nighthawks of Newbury College fell to the Falcons of Fitchburg State College this afternoon by a score of 6-2.  The Nighthawks played a tough 75 minutes, but down 3-2 fatigue set in for the last 15 minutes of the game as the Falcons went on to score 3 more goals to seal the game.

The Nighthawks attacked first on an unassisted goal by John Mawson (Amherst, MA/Amherst) just ten minutes into the game but the Falcons responded with three straight goals by David Tyler (Hubbardston, MA/Quabbin), assisted by Jeffery Loven (Littleton, MA/Littleton), Lionso Ventura (Westminster, MA/Oakmont) assisted by Tyler, and Eddie Hearn (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) assisted by Jude Connelly (Harvard, MA/Bromfield School).   The Nighthawks would score once more before the half on an unassisted goal by Andy Osei (Worcester, MA/Burncoat) but that would be as close as they would get to the Falcons. 

Rounding out the scoring for the Falcons was Tyler assisted by Danny Bolam (Flectcher, VT/BFA Fairfax), Danny Angelosanto (Stoneham, MA/Stoneham) assisted by Bolam, and Brain Mountain (Southwick, MA/Southwick-Tolland) assisted by Angelosanto. 

Next up the Nighthawks will travel to Westfield State College on Saturday September 13, 2008, game time is 1:00pm.
